

Mikayla Marie Angel-Weiss, 14, of Cincinnati and Perrysburg, Ohio passed away, after she lost her battle with depression, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at her home in Cincinnati. She was born on December 1, 1998 to Bernard J. Weiss and Kristine L. Angel in Findlay, Ohio.
Mikayla was a student at St. Bernard Middle School in Cincinnati. She enjoyed volleyball and soccer. She had dreams of becoming a professional soccer player. She loved to help people and had aspirations to become a RN. She also enjoyed the computer, art, bike riding, gaming and keyboarding. She had made plans to take professional piano lessons. She also loved animals, especially her dog, Bella.
Mikayla is survived by parents Bernard J. “Bernie” Weiss and Kristine L. (Chad) Henderly Sr., siblings, Madison and Chad Henderly Jr., aunts, Tracy (David) Carman, Alicia (Shawn Encalado) Weiss, and Jamie Dunsmore-Wrights, uncles, Daniel (Jennifer) Angel and Michael Angel, great aunts, Sharon Barnum and Rick (Connie) Koehler, grandmothers, Becky Henderly, Becky Angel and Teresa Weir, grandfathers, Bernard (Cathie) Weiss and Loren (Elaine) Angel, great grandmothers, Midge Bellner and Thelma Merritt and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Nancy Weiss-Duszynski.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio, 43551, (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held following the visitation at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Zoar Lutheran Church.
