Barry Douglas Vincent O'Shaughnessy

August 3rd 1952 - August 23 2021

Passed away peacefully in his 70th year. Loving husband of Leah Johnson. Longtime friend and wasband of Donna O’Shaughnessy. Loving son of the late Marilyn and Barry. Cherished father to Karri (Geoff), Rhiannon (Colin), and the late Rachel. Devoted grandfather of Noah, Evan, and Courtney. Great grandfather to Kai.

Cherished friend to Doug O’Dette and many others. Barry is predeceased by his siblings. Barry will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Barry lived a colourful, full life and loved sharing stories with his family, friends and anyone he met day to day. His bright eyes, quick wit and genuine demeanour was admired by many and brought light to the lives and people he touched. Barry was a very talented carpenter with a creative mind and a keen eye for fine details. Some of his great passions outside of his family and trade included; cars and trucks, gardening, animals and good food. Barry had a huge heart and was a true fighter for everything he was passionate about and truly left this world a better place.

Visitation to take place on Saturday September 18th at 2 PM followed by a Celebration of Barry’s Life at 3 PM at Ashburnham Funeral Home 840 Armour Road Peterborough.
