It is with profound sadness that the family of Carl Hannon share his sudden passing at Peterborough Reginal Health Center on October 6th. Carl passed away surrounded by his loved ones after bravely fighting his brief battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Lynda (Wedlock) nearing their 39th year of marriage and proud father of Lindsey (Jessie) and Josh (Gracen). Carl was predeceased by his father Ralph. He is missed greatly by his mother Lorna (Talbot), and his siblings Larry (Janice), Marlene Chaplin (Hugh), Trevor, David (Gail), Don (Heather), and Lesa Coulas (Mike). Carl will be deeply missed by everyone he knew including his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carl was a dedicated family man who valued his wife, daughter, and son deeply. He was a dependable, kind and caring person who was always there to lend a hand or help out when needed. He was often on the go, running errands, going on tours and visiting family and friends. He loved to socialize and make the people around him laugh.
Carl worked as a greens keeper at Katchiwano Golf Course for 42 years. He was a very hard worker and took pride in his work. He was well known by the members at the club and in the community. When he wasn't working Carl loved to farm and was often found in a field or driving a tractor. He started farming at a very young age and did it right up until he left this world.
A huge thank you to the PRHC staff for helping and caring for him during his time there this past year.
