I did not know Chet but my husband and I came across his marker at Little Lake cemetery and we were so touched by its spirit. Now when we walk there we talk about Chet as though he was a dear friend and we often take the time to brush off his stone. As I read this it’s clear he was a very special man. Love to his family.

Dear Laureen, Vaughn, Carly, Jenna and Family. So sorry for your loss. We grieve with you. I, Ron, have fond memories of when Chet and His family came to visit us on the farm in NB many years ago. That's when, as I remember it, Chet helped me convince Vaughn that you can get milk out of a cow by pumping her tail. At least I think we convinced him. Heartfelt condolences to you all.  Growing up in the West with many miles separating us from our eastern cousins, I didn't have opportunity to know Chet very well over the years, but relied on the the family tales my parents (Chester's Uncle Nelson and Aunt Beulah) told, along with a few special memories of shared family times. 

The twists and turns of life can be difficult to understand at best, but especially when dear ones are taken from us. Chet, your dad, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend . . . passionately and skillfully wove into the fabric of your lives beautiful, strong cords that will bring strength to your lives, even in his absence. Let us all follow Chet's lead and the example of elders before him - such as Annie and Lawrence - loving deeply and unconditionally, - so we too may leave a legacy of love to those we hold dear.

Praying that God's peace will be with you all, as you are going through this great time of loss. My mind has been filled with so many memories this week!!! I have always felt such a bond with your family. After all, I was the one who introduced Chet's Mom to his Dad those many years ago. I can still see Chet, at nine months, and cousin, Debi, at one year, as playmates. How we missed them when Thunder Bay became their home! Chet's visit with us here in Kelowna, two years ago, remains a precious memory. Love you all, Auntie Beulah XO

Carly, Jenna and family - my deepest condolences to you. Chet had such a sparkle to him. I feel so fortunate to have known Chet for a few years through his amazing daughters. I have many fond memories of Chet beaming with pride at Carly's shows and of course - Chet at ribfest dishing out food and drink tickets for all of us. I really admire the zest for life he had. I have many fond memories of playing slo-pitch with Chet on J&J teams. He always played with great enthusiasm. I enjoyed his presence and chatting with him when our paths would cross.

Chester Eagles was my cousin. My heart felt sympathy goes to his friends and family. I wish I'd known Chet.

I remember visiting Chester countless years ago at Uncle Lawrence's - we had a blast! Through the years Mom (Ruth Eagles) would periodically keep me informed of Chester's exploits. It is with deep sadness I heard of his passing, I could not comprehend it at first. I believe the sun shines brighter on the other side so Chester, must now be happy. I Pray God be with the entire family through this difficult time.

Hi Jenna and Carly. Chester was my Best Friend in High School, we worked together bartending while going to University in Thunder Bay, then moved to Toronto together and shared a " Bachelor Pad" for a while until we each got Married, we were "Best Man" for each other at our Weddings. We both moved away from Toronto to continue our adventures, but I have never forgotten Chet, or the special friendship we had. He was , and will always be my True Best Friend. He was a wonderful friend, and I am sure a great father.  Chester, until we meet again, keep that bright light burning for us to join you one day.
