
formerly of Ottawa at PRHC Palliative Care on December 24, 2010 at the age of 77. Precious wife, constant companion and best friend of Howard (Howie). Predeceasd by her parents James Maxwell Gillespie and Mary Matilda Traynor and sisters Margaret Fallis, Mildred Harrison and Elsie King. Survived by dear Uncle Percy T. Traynor (Marianne), cherished brother-in-law Lorne Fallis, step brother and good friend Reginald Fowler plus many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A long-term employee of Bell Canada, C.N. Telecommunications and Health Canada, Clare also embraced the sense of fun and adventure of accompanying Howie on his many military postings across Canada, USA and Bermuda. She held fond memories of the Western Arctic and its happy people and the close friendships forged there. Special thanks to the Community Care, the Pro Home Nurses, Dr. Gillis-Doyle, the Palliative Care Unit at PRHC and to Dr. Doug Turner and his staff for their professional and comforting care. Respecting Clare’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:00pm at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street.
