It is with sad hearts that mom has passed on April 9, 2022, surrounded by her family in her home. Connie was born in Ottawa and is the eldest of 7. Having Graduated as she would say from the School of Hard Knocks, Mom was strong and strong willed at the same time. Loving wife of the late Harry Cobean and Bill Wilson. Beloved mother of the late Sharon Mahar, Rick Cobean (Mary) and Kathy Shears (Rob). Cherished grandmother of Kyla Mahar, Matthew Mahar (Krista), Rachel Schug (Michael), Kaitlin O'Brien (Luke), Darryl Shears (Mary), Natalie Shears (Matt) and great grandmother of Kaelyn, Teagan, Matthew, Constance, Kelsey, Isla, Austin and great great grandmother of Justin, Nick and Hannah.
Windowed at an early age from her first husband Harry Cobean, raising her 3 children was challenging in the 50's, and 60's, she always had a way of saying, "it will be just fine, don't worry!' Holding down 3 jobs at a time to support her little family, a dream came true one day she landed the Job as office manager at the OPP at the Niagara detachment it was there, she met the love of her life Bill Wilson, they travelled and worked many places and years, until finally finding the home they called their home on the lake in Ennismore. Where we had many Family celebrations. After leaving Mississauga to continue her Career in Real Estate in the Peterborough area, Connie never looked back, always loved her life that she shared with everyone, family and friends including all of her Canine friends, in Ennismore, on the Water
Connie was for many years a respected real estate agent in Peterborough and owner of several local businesses and will be remembered fondly by those whose hearts she touched throughout those years!
Special Thank you goes to PSW s their dedication and commitment! Also, Weekly Community Paramedics and Dr. Beamish for his continued support.
Aquamation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at AshburnhamFuneral.ca
