Died in Peterborough on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at he age of 77. Kees was born in Veghel, the Netherlands on August 26, 1944 to Joanna and Cees Vanden Heuvel. A developmental psychologist, Kees was also an avid photographer with a keen interest in genealogy. He loved spending time with his family. He also really loved Gouda cheese. Kees is survived by his wife Freda, daughters Sheila, Maria (Stuart), Justine (Dan), Susan (Dave), grandchildren Peter, Helen, Cai, Lilah, Toby, Katie, and siblings Liesbeth, Bert (Doreen), Hank (Jean), Marion (Bob), Mary Jo (Gerald), and was predeceased by his brother Archie.
The family would welcome anyone wishing to celebrate Kees’s life at a reception at Ashburnham Funeral Home 840 Armour Road n Peterborough on March 12, 2022 from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kees to Peterborough Regional Health Center or Peterborough Hospice. The family respectfully asks that everyone take a rapid test before coming to the funeral home.
