I am not lucky enough to know Daniel too well when he was on this earth. I was though,  fortunate to work with him briefly on a small promotional project... though it was short, Daniel left me with a great impression. He was passionate, enthusiastic, motivated. He was the one reached out to me for the project. I dont even know how he found me but we had such good vibes... 
It is sad that the world had lost such young man who could have done so much more to improve our society. He was involved in managing a number of social media accounts and handles, and he was so excited about what we had in the party. He will be missed. For sure. RIP

What an imprint he's had. I was lucky to meet Daniel this past spring working together for the green EDA. You meet people throughout life, and they each have an impact on the person you become. Daniel's selfless soul, passion and drive for what is right is going to stick with me. He will always remind me to put energy towards making the world a better place for all. And most importantly, that the actions of one person do matter. To see him move from rally to rally, from cause to cause, I'm so happy he was able to make his impact seen in this city. I'll remember the bike rides Daniel! You're helmet style will live on with me!

Dear Daniel,
Thank you for being my best friend for a short time this summer. Thank you for being a fundamental part of the Spadina-Fort York Green Party of Ontario CA. Thank you for being a fellow vegan, a fellow social justice and environmental activist, thank you for being yourself always. I will always miss you, buddy. 

I met Daniel earlier this year through virtual organizing for the Green Party. He was one of the most committed and passionate young Greens that I've ever met. He went to every protest and knocked on 100s of doors to drop off flyers and spread awareness on social justice issues. You will be in our hearts, always.

That was our friend Daniel:  deeply affected by the injustices he saw around him, he was not only tireless in working to change the political status quo he was willing to put his body in the way of rampaging police to ensure that those living in poverty in precarious housing in tents were treated with dignity and humanity. He showed us that sometimes you have to have the courage to stand up and be willing to fight, and perhaps even be beaten, fined or jailed to oppose injustice.  I am humbled by Daniel's courage.

From the outset, Daniel never wavered in his commitment to making the world a better place.  He was a friend to all of us. He was soft spoken but loud in his efforts and tireless in working to make our riding of Spadina - Fort York a better place for all of us to live.  He was kind and fun to be with.

I had the opportunity to spend time with Daniel canvassing on a couple of occasions and he was always curious to learn and it was a pleasure to spend time with him.

When we heard the news that our friend had passed away, we were all deeply affected and saddened.  We will miss him and we thank you all for allowing us to share this memorial with you and to say goodbye to our friend Daniel.

If I can leave you with one last thought:  On one occasion, Daniel and I were talking about how daunting the task of changing things can be. I'll leave you all with what I told him:

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
