Delbert Laurence "Larry" Hobart

Peacefully, with his family by his side at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Linda Hobart (née Hignett). Loving father of the late Debbie Nahrgang (Lichty), Tracey Armitage (Mike), Paula Hobart and Stephanie Walker (Mike). Brother of the late Robert (Bob) Hobart and survived by John (Jack) Hobart and sister Gwen Shewell. Proud grandfather of Jacinda Nahrgang (Steve), Shane Nahrgang, Whitney Hawley (Brian), Shannon Armitage (Paul), Kaitlyn, Taylor and Sidney Armitage; Ethan and Jensen Walker. Great grandfather of Landon, Sadie, Benjamin and Lincoln.

Retired from Canadian General Electric Nuclear Production Control, Larry was a member of the Air Force Association of Canada, 428 (Peterborough) Wing and also a Veteran of the Korean War. During his retirement he enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren immensely and his role as a crossing guard at Edmison Heights Public School.

The family will receive relatives and friends at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday July 22, 2016 at 11:00 am.
