Joined his Lord and Saviour on Friday, April 4, 2025 at his home, surrounded by family. Donald, in his 85th year, was the beloved husband of Elaine (née Joyce) for 61 years. Loving father of Cavelle (John Stoeckle), Donny (Janice), Stephen (Deanna), Kelly-Ann (Paul Hudder), James and Jill (Fred Cummings). Proud Grandpa and Papa of Michael (Shauna), Matthew (Kim), Amanda (Cody), Zachary (McKenley), Nathan (Gretchen), Emily, Kyle (Lauryn), Ashley (Kody), Adam (Ellie), Ally (Matt), Maria (Blake), Victoria (Caleb), Ian (Kate) and Ryan (Deanna). Cherished great-grandfather of Cameron, Jeremy, Austin, Ben, Eli, Charlie and Maclean. Dear brother of Marie (the late Ray Dumas), Frances (the late Norm Denault), Betty (the late Bernie Christie), the late Jim (survived by Mary), Helen (the late Jim Demoe), Rita (the late Gerry Saxon) and Rose (the late Al Kearsay). Brother-in-law of the late Bob Joyce (the late Bernadette) and the late Audrey (the late Rick Howard). Predeceased by his parents James and Isabel (née Dunn) Hayes. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Personal gratitude and prayers for Donald may be made from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10th at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 513 Ennis Rd., Ennismore. Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. Interment at St. Martin's Cemetery, Ennismore.
