
Tucker, Dorothy May (née Rigney) - Surrounded by her family, Dorothy passed away May 23rd at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Born in Wolseley, Saskatchewan in 1934 to Edward and Mildred Rigney, Dorothy went on to train as a nurse at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, graduating in 1955. Dorothy's career spanned service as a nurse at the Peterborough Civic Hospital and the Medical Centre and as a home care coordinator with the Community Access Centre. Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband, Gordon, and by her brothers Kenneth (June, deceased), Walter (Marie, deceased), and James (Georgina), and is predeceased by her brother, Maurice (Noreen, deceased). Loving mother to her two sons Paul Briggs (A.M. Dawson), and Mark Briggs (Micheline), and stepmother to Brian Tucker (Jill). Cherished Grandmother to David (Eryn), Vincent, Laura (Benjamin) and Francis Briggs. Dear step-Grandmother to Amanda and Douglas Tucker. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are encouraged to join in a memorial service at Westdale United Church in Peterborough June 8th at 11am. At Dorothy's request, donations in her memory to Westdale United Church (1509 Sherbrooke Street, Peterborough, K9K 2J1) for church outreach activities.
