SLOAN: Eleanor May “Ellie”: Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, December 6th, 2012 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Reverend John Sloan. Loving mother of Allison Weir (Nikolas Kompridis), Gregory Weir (Louise), Michael (Roberta Bain), Carolyn Weir (David Sugarman), and Thomas Weir (Tara Stubensey). Dear step-mother of Murray Sloan (Myra), and John Sloan Jr. predeceased, Mary Sloan (Logan Craig). Cherished Grandmother of Ben, Daniel, Rosie, David, Angela, Alexa, Jesse, and Kaelen, Logan, and Tyler. Dear sister of Joyce Conquist, and Les Allison both of Alberta, and Ray Allison predeceased. Survived by nieces and nephews; Neil, Keith, Heather, Robin, Jon, Greg, and Lori. Friends and relatives are invited to a Service of Remembrance in St. Andrews United Church, Rubidge Street, on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Joanna MacQuarrie officiating. In memory of Ellie, donations to Habitat for Humanity or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
