Elizabeth Patricia James

The family announces with sorrow her death at the Sudbury Regional Hospital Sunday, March 13, 2011 in her 88th year. Daughter of the late Cecil and Christine Stillwell predeceased. Beloved wife of Fred Sr., predeceased in 2007. Loving mother of Fred (wife Lynda). Cherished grandma to Tammy James, Squamish BC and Sherri James (partner Gilles Amyotte) Williams Lake, BC. Proud great grandma to Alexandria James and Zack Amyotte. Betty was predeceased by her brothers Jim and Gordon (Shirley) Stillwell. She was born in Peterborough, and married the love of her life, Fred in England in 1940. They returned to Canada in 1946 following the war and resided in Peterborough. Betty was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She moved to Lively following her husband's passing to be close to her family. She was a gentle lady who devoted her entire life to her family who she loved dearly. She will be missed by many friends and family in Peterborough and Meadowbrook Retirement Residence in Lively. Friends are invited to call at KAYE FUNERAL HOME “Memorial Chapel”, 539 George St. North, on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 12pm to 1 pm, followed by a service at 1pm. Reverend John Sloan officiating. Interment Little Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
