Glenda and I were so sorry to hear about Betty's passing.
I had the opportunity of been her Principal at H.A. Halbert junior public school. 
She was such a lovely lady and was well respected by her peers and students alike.
We are sorry that we were unable to go to the funeral but rest assured our thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family.

Betty was a sweet, gentle loving soul.  She was an amazing and caring teacher.  Her young colleagues at H.A. Halbert felt like they had another mum watching over them.  She always had time for us.  Betty was also a proud mum to her own two children.  In fact, we felt like young Doug and Brenda were part of our school family.  We are sorry that we are unable to attend the service but we would very much like to pass on our love to her family. . . she was truly an awesome lady.

Brenda (and Family),

I was so sorry to hear about your Mom passing.  It really broke my heart.  I am so honoured to have known her.  She was an amazing person, always smiling, loved her jokes, and so smart at Scrabble.  Her legacy in my life will be leaving me with a love of the game of Scrabble – and knowing that maybe twice I was able to beat her!  This I will never forget.

Know I am thinking about all of you, and remembering the good times with your Mom, like the motorcycle photos and our baby days when Vincent would come visit.

I will always remember Betty as a sweet, kind, joyful, optimistic and welcoming person. She was beloved by her students during her teaching career and truly shone like a light wherever she was.  I remember many happy times at her family cottage. She loved the beauty of nature and especially enjoyed the times spent with her dear family. She was lucky to always have an angel by her side- her devoted daughter Brenda (my best friend).
