Francesca Di Maria

Di Maria, Francesca – Passed away peacefully with her four daughters by her side at the age of 85. Francesca was born in Santa Ninfa, Sicily on November 8, 1933. She was married to Francesco (Frank) from 1963 until his death on Christmas Day, 2002. Francesca is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws: Josie (Mike) Di Maria-Fatels, Maria (David) Hope, Tina (John) Legros and Linda (Joe) Di Maria-Caetano. Grandmother of Alyssa Legros (Kristian Esselink), Jordan Legros, Tianna Hope (Nick Grutzeck), Spencer Hope and Ryan Di Maria-Fatels. She is also survived by her siblings in Italy; Giovanni (Maria) Lombardo, Anna (Giacomo) Stabile, Vito (Vincenszina) Lombardo. Predeceased by her brother Vito Lombardo and her parents Giuseppe and Maria Lombardo. Will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States and Italy and special niece Josie Lemaire (predeceased) Duane and family. A much loving mother, wife and nona, Francesca took great pride in her family. She was a true inspiration to her four daughters; her strength and love will never be forgotten and will always live through them. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 208 Romaine Street on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 am. Entombment will take place at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
