Franklin John Konopaski

Passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on November 9, 2021 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Lana for 38 years. Loving father of John Konopaski and his wife Christina and grandfather to Annie, Dallin, Elise, Laura and Claire Konopaski. Sadly missed by his step-children and their families. Dear brother of Rose Hitch, Cynthia Konopaski, Peter Konopaski, the late Judy Comeau and the late Ross Konopaski. Fondly remembered by the Konopaski and Maluta families in Western Canada and family and friends in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Frank ran a successful financial planning company called Money Managers Inc. Lana and Frank loved to travel and they entertained at many backyard pool parties. Frank was a Past Master to the Cobourg Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He was very involved with the Kiwanis Scott’s Plains Club, the Kiwanis Music Festival and fund-raised and volunteered for many organizations including the Salvation Army and Community Living. He loved to golf and went on many fishing trips around the world. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. (guests must register by calling the funeral home at (705)745-4683 or go to https://signup.com/go/CXgJcRc ). Proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, are mandatory to attend indoor funeral services for those age 12 and older. Masks are required.
