Died early Sunday morning, peacefully, after a long struggle with cancer. Husband to Petra, father to Timothy and Peter, brother to Valerie, Patricia and Graham. Predeceased by his parents Ross and Clara Munro. Glenn was among Ontario’s first paramedics, and gave thirty-two years of service until his retirement, after which he continued to serve as a teacher and a volunteer with Global Medic and Canadian Cancer Society. He is remembered by friends, students and colleagues as a selfless, dedicated, decent individual, one who gave countless hours and made untold sacrifices for the benefit of others. We remember him fondly for his love of aviation and of all things Scottish, and honour him for a life well lived. Visitation will be held at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glenn’s memory may be made to the Peterborough Chapter Canadian Cancer Society volunteer driving program or Global Medic.
