Gordon Harrington

10 November 1922 - 14 September 2017

Gord(Poppy) Harrington, a WWII veteran, passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on 14 September 2017 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Irene Hope (nee Connors). Loving father of Dave, Richard (Eudene), and Kathy La Hay (Bruce). Lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, especially Mia with who he shared a special bond. He will also be missed by his sister Ruth Haddow, his cousin Muriel Harrington and his many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents, Ross and Edith(nee Tolson) Harrington, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.Many thanks to all the people who have touched his life over the years, especially the staff of Fairhaven LTC, where he lived for the past 3 years and the staff of Activity Haven where he spent many enjoyable days socializing. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kawartha Lakes Animal Welfare Society (KLAWS), Fairhaven Foundation or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
