‘Days Gone By…’
Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Peterborough Ontario on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the age of 66. Gregory was a master craftsman and lover of music. Known as ‘Sir Gregory’ to many in the Peterborough area, he was meticulous with his restoration of classic cars – leaving a legacy of beauty on wheels. Beyond this, he found solace in the strings of his guitar, strumming melodies that echoed his passion of music. Gregory’s spirit and energy brought great joy to his audiences over the years. His hands may rest now, but his gentle soul, talent, and devotion will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Gregory will be forever loved and missed by his partner, Lorry Shermerhorn and his son, Andy Grattan. Dear son of the late Richard Ryan (step-mother Lorraine) and Monica Ryan (née Monaghan). Loving brother of Debra Ryan (Joe Sparling) of Whitehorse, Yukon, Terry Ryan (Rea) of Elora, Ontario, and Kathryn Ryan of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Predeceased by his dear brothers, Garry Ryan (2013) and Stephen Ryan (2020). Gregory will be remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
