FORAN, Gwyneth Eiveen (née Boyce) ~ 1931 – 2024 ~ With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eiveen on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at the age of 93. Eiveen passed away peacefully, at her daughters’ home, with Joan and Carol at her bedside. Beloved wife of the late Carman Foran. Loving mother of Joan Popp and Carol Vogt. Proud grandmother of Andrew Popp (Kendra) and Jenna Popp (Mark Rowley). Cherished great-grandmother of Violet, Delia and Quintin Popp; Brooks, Beckham (predeceased 2015) and Austin Rowley. Dear sister of the late Mary Yezzi and the late Ruth O’Donoghue. Born and raised in Lakefield/Peterborough, she graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1953 and continued to nurse at PRHC until her retirement. Eiveen was extremely proud of this accomplishment and her long-standing career. Eiveen and Carman lived together happily for over 55 years and enjoyed travelling to Texas in the winters, where their daughters lived before moving back to Peterborough. Her favourite thing to do was spend time with family and friends. She loved playing cards, going for walks and enjoyed bridge with her friends at the Peterborough Bridge Club. In keeping with Eiveen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place in the spring at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
