Helen Elizabeth McKenzie Belsey

Our family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Helen Elizabeth Belsey on Sunday, October 20th 2024, just 6 days shy of her 91st birthday. Lovingly remembered by her husband Earl of 72 years. Beloved Mother and inspiration to her children, Michael and his wife Linda, Doug and his wife Irene, and Sherry and her husband Jeff and her children Tammy, Kelly and David. Cherished and loving Grandma to her 6 grandchildren, Samantha (Brandon), Spencer (Abby), Nathan, Madeline (Jesse), Brett (Jasmin) and Elyse and Great-Grandma to Myles. Surrounded by her family on her journey, Helen is now at peace and reunited with her brother, Bill (predeceased), her brother Jim (predeceased) and her sister Jean (predeceased). Special friend of Cathy and Blair Johnston. Helen will be remembered as a talented and creative member of her Folk Art Guild community.

Cherished memories of owning the Village Tea Room in Keene where her Folk Artist career began, to operating a successful Home Studio alongside her dear husband Earl. Helen will be remembered as a patient teacher, guiding her many students through their creative journeys. Helen and Earl’s loving marriage is both inspiring and admired by all around them.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday October 24, 2024 from 1-2 pm at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough. A Memorial Service will follow at 2pm. The family wishes to send heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Care staff at PRHC and the staff at Princess Gardens for their compassion and care.
