Hendrika "Rita" Berendina Schoute

Born March18, 1925 in Staphorst, The Netherlands. Sister, Wife, Mother, Oma. Peacefully in her sleep at Riverview Manor on Monday, March 9, 2015, nine days short of her 90th birthday. Beloved wife of 63 years to John (Jan) Schoute. Dear mother of Anne Blok (Harry) of York, Pennslyvania and Jan Schoute (Allison) of Peterborough. Dear sister of Joan, Bill and Cynthia. Predeceased by sisters and brothers: Gerrit, Gerda, Dien, Arend and Bram. Loving Oma of Mallory, Isaac, Jacob, Jordan and Olivia. Friend to All, A comfort to many and an inspiration to anyone who met her. A dedicated Christian woman that eagerly shared her faith with anyone who wondered where her energy came from. Some of her accomplishments: a successful Business owner Schoute Textiles Ltd., Certified Reflexologist, Certified Iridologist, Royal Conservatory Graduate of Music, Soprano Soloist, Ontario Christian Music Assembly. A Heartfelt Thank You to all staff at Riverview Manor for all of the care provided over the past three years. Friends are invited to call at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL’ 539 George Street, N., on Friday, March 13th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
