It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Pomeroy on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the PRHC Palliative Care Unit. After a long struggle, Jackie is now resting with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She was the beloved Mom of Jody (Greg) Ackerman of Peterborough, On and Janine (Jamie) Reid of Biggar, Sk, step-mother of Tammy (Frank Tucci) Pomeroy of Toronto, On, and Dean Pomeroy of Peterborough, On. Predeceased by her loving husband the late Paul Pomeroy. Missed dearly by her grandchildren Michael (Katy, nee Atkinson) Blondin, Jeffery Reid, Kaitlyn Blondin, Jennifer Blondin, Madison Reid (Jessie Smith), Kayla Ackerman, Gemma Tucci, and Aurora Tucci. Proud G.G. of Andrew, Everdeen, and Brayden Blondin. Much loved special sister to Mary Roberts. Jackie will be missed by her sisters Bev (Lance) Hill, Sandra (Murray Quackenbush) Martin, her brothers Bill Blackstock, and Alan (Irene) Kerr. She was predeceased by her parents the late Herbert Blackstock and Helen Field (nee Young). Jackie was loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. Friends called at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Tuesday, December 20th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service was be held at PARK STREET BAPTIST CHURCH, 16 Park Street North, Peterborough, on Wednesday at 12 noon, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Highland Park Cemetery.
