I am so saddened to hear of Jim's passing, far too young, far too soon. I will remember him as a kind and caring man who always brightened my day when I saw him. As soon as I'd ask about Jo or Jason or Britt , he'd get the biggest smile across his face , he loved them dearly. I'm going to miss his phone calls & hearing "thanks Moe, your a doll". My heart goes out to Jo, Jason & Brittany & all of Jims family. Heaven has surely gained a gentle angel. Rest in peace Jim- I'm sure going to miss you

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I've had the pleasure to have known him for over 30 years, when he first became a client at my pharmacy at the Peterborough Clinic. He transferred over to the pharmacy I worked at after that, and then followed me again when I bought my current pharmacy. In so doing, he transferred from being my patient to being a very good friend.
To me, he was a very loyal, gentle, generous giant. I enjoyed his friendly nature and his sense of humour. He was very giving of his time and his skills, and was excited when I got my first motorcycle. He became my go-to motorcycle guru. If I had a motorcycle issue, or other small engine need, he was my guy. 
He told me often that now that I had a motorcycle, I needed to get some tattoos. His favourite suggested tattoo for me was "Woody Woodpecker smoking a cigar". He even offered to pay for it for me, and to drive me to the tattoo parlour.
He was delighted to help me choose my second motorcycle, and came with me to check it out, and again to pick it up. My first ride on my new bike (a 2005 Goldwing) was with him, and as a I drove up behind him and stopped at the first intersection, he looked at me and said, "Mark, it sounds like you are riding a Singer sewing machine!" I still smile to this day, and tell that story often.
There was never a time when he would not be available to chat, or help, or lend a hand, even as his health deteriorated and his body wouldn't let him do what he would love to do.
I will remember him for his generosity and his loyalty, and will smile every time I see Woody Woodpecker, and a Singer sewing machine.
He loved his family, he loved his bike, and he loved being able to help.
He will be missed.

I knew Jimmy for many years as a brother Boilermaker- we served some of our apprenticeships together and worked on more than a few jobsites together. i was saddened to hear of his passing, and I would like to extend condolences from my family to his family and friends. Rest in peace brother.
