Jessie Elizabeth Ann Todd

March 1, 1941-December 24, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jessie Elizabeth Todd on December 24, 2025 in her 84th year. She will truly be missed by all of her children, Kim Garland (Ross), Terri Crough (Mike), Jim Todd (Vicki), Lynn Todd, and her grandchildren Katie Brown (Shawn), Amy and Michael Crough (Nicole), Uri, Winnie and Tommy Todd, Jode Stockdale (Kyle), Lou Warner (Justin) and great grandchildren, Jensen Stockdale, Aurora Ferguson, Dean Brown and Callan Warner. Jessie is predeceased by her parents Marjorie (Nee Creighton) and James Hutchinson, her brother John Hutchinson, and her grandson Scott Garland. Jessie will also be missed by her brothers, sisters and in-laws, Margaret Traynor (Jim), Paul Hutchinson, Jim Hutchinson (Karen), Betty Rombough (Terry). Jessie had a special bond with all of her nieces and nephews and will be forever remembered by them. She maintained a strong connection with many cousins and extended family and friends near and far.

Jessie spent most of her early life in growing up in Essex County, ON. She moved to the Peterborough area at the age of 16 and a few years later married Hank Todd. Jessie spent most of her work career employed by the Ministry of the Attorney General in Court Services. She had a passion for travel which she enjoyed with many family members. She loved most sports, in particular hockey, lacrosse and rugby. She did not miss a game if her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or their children were playing. You would always find her in the corner of the rink.

It was Jessie’s wish to not have a formal service but rather a “Party”

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honour on Sunday January 25, 2026 at the Peterborough Rugby Clubhouse, 725 Armour Rd., Peterborough, 2:00 pm. to 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation to The Scott Garland Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
