It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John “Ralf” Spradbrow in his 81st year. Born to Stephen & Helen Spradbrow of Toronto on January 20th, 1942. Survived by his wife of 52 years Jerelene “Jere” Spradbrow. His light will continue to shine on in his daughters Nicole Spradbrow and Lindsay Mitchell as well as his favourite playmates, his grandchildren Greyson and Iylie Mitchell.
Ralf graduated from U of T with his degree in Dentistry in 1965 and he established a practice in Toronto. Later, he chose to open his own music store to share his passion of music with others. After many years of visiting the area at the family cottage on Buckhorn Lake, he decided to move his family to Peterborough. He worked for many years for Joe DeNoble at Musicland, demonstrating instruments and giving organ lessons. When the family cottage sold, he spent his summers on his yacht on Georgian Bay. Finally being the captain of his own ship! He loved fishing and photography and the boat enabled him to enjoy both.
A true, honest, caring and compassionate gentleman. We have lost one of the “Good Ones”. Ralf will truly be missed by his family and friends. His quiet sense of humour and unwavering faith in the good of mankind are rare qualities that he will be remembered for. Wishing him “fair winds, calm seas and gentle tides” for the journey ahead.
Thank you Erin and the team of VON nurses. We would also like to thank the PRHC Palliative care nurses and doctors for the excellent care he received. Special thanks to Dr. Ebisuzaki and Dr. Bodie for their efforts.

A funeral service will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11am followed by a reception for friends and family. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
