Ken, Cathy, Shawn & family....what a legacy your dad has left you!  I loved playing euchre with him and hearing his jokes. He also had the best boots in town! I am sorry to hear of his passing, my sincerest condolences to all of you. I know he will be missed greatly. May the warmth of his memory comfort you during the sad times and bring a smile to your face. xo

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of my old Uncle Ken.  I do have such fond memories of Ken.  I remember the time we used to go to visit him and Aunt Louise at Rice Lake.  We would laugh, tell jokes, swim, fish and my sister Annie would crash the snowmobile into a tree…… ahhhh, such memories.  ?
Ken had such a unique voice and laugh you could hear him from any room.  He always had a joke and he and I always had a few new ones for each other.  I remember at his 80th, we sat in a corner and giggled away as we exchanged new material.  
He would always ask ‘Tommy what are you up to now?',  and he was always interested and very encouraging.  
I got down to see him recently with my mum and Ken and I took on Mum and Carolyn in euchre.  They beat us and he was none too happy.  Still competitive after all those 87 years. You gotta love that.  He blamed the loss on me but I was giving him perfectly good hand signals, one finger for clubs, 2 for spades.. he just didn't see them.  I was so glad that I had a chance to visit recently.
His generosity was tremendous.  He was so good to my mum.  He would drive down and pick her up and drive her back after the visit.  Never asked for a penny, only asked that they could stop at Rama for a few pulls on the way.  No argument from my mum there.  
Special thanks to Carolyn for being a great partner and taking care of him in these past few years.  You were a good couple.
He will be sorely missed by his sisters, his family and all of his friends.

To All of Uncle Ken's Family:
It saddens my heart that he has left us. He leaves all of us with fond memories, as he was our special Uncle that would come home from Ontario and would light up our lives. Mom and Dad always enjoyed his visits. He made us kids feel special - likely exhausted when he left having to spread himself thin with so many. Mom and Dad have welcomed him, while my heart hurts for your loss.

Uncle Ken was always full of jokes and I can still hear his laugh.  I will remember him that way eternally….laughing. I was introduced to Ken through his son Shawn about a hundred years ago, or so it seems as time passes us by. Never a harsh word said accept in a joke and never a visit without a fantastic laugh. Ken, you were a true gift to everyone who was blessed enough to know you. Thank you for being you and improving all of our lives.

PS. put in a good word for me and remember to keep the jokes clean up there.

My memories of Ken although few, are pleasant ones, a very kind and gentle soul, now at peace

I'm so sorry for your loss. 
 I have very fond memories of Uncle Ken, knowing that I'd always earn a quarter scratching his back when I was a young girl.
When I was moving around the country he'd always come visit me at mum's when I got to town.
May he be at peace now.
