Clarke, Madeline Eleanor (nee Blade): It is with great sadness but with Peace in our hearts that we share with you, the passing of our Mother. Peacefully at St. Joseph’s at Fleming on Wednesday June 19, 2013 in her 98th year. Mom was the cherished wife of the late Maxwell Clarke (2007). Cherished mother of Arthur Clarke and his wife Marjorie, Maxine Prentice and her husband Robert, Henry Clarke and his wife Donna. Held in her heart, Grandmother of Vici, Robert, Matthew, Michael Clarke, Jeff, Susan Prentice, Steve Peconi. Proud Great Grandmother of Ryan, Anna Madeline, Kian, Daegan, and Ethan. Sister of the late Helen Hall, Barbara Williamson, Lenore Tressider, Hank Blade and Doris MacKenzie. Madeline was the first woman president of the Peterborough Golf & Country Club (1977-1979) where she was an avid golfer and curler. She was a life member of the 57th Regiment Chapter, I.O.D.E. Madeline’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph’s at Fleming for their kindness and loving care. A private family service will take place on August 9th, 2013.
