Madonna Marie Nolan

May 27, 1954 – August 21, 2024

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Madonna Nolan (nee Guthrie) after a valiant battle with illness on August 21, 2024 in her 71st year.

She was the daughter of the late Ray and Cecile Guthrie; granddaughter of the late Charles and Mary Hartnett and Clifford and Viola Guthrie.

Madonna was the beloved wife and high school sweetheart of Ron Nolan, married to each other for fifty years. She was the cherished mother of Katie (Kevin), Hayley (Shaun), Rhonda, and Emily (Keith).

Madonna’s greatest joy was her family. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother (Tilley) to Jacob and Dylan, Annabel and Griffin, Claire, Nickolas, Nolan and Laine, Emma and Drew. Her love and dedication to her grandchildren was boundless. She always put others before herself, embodying selflessness and warmth in every aspect of her life.

Madonna is the dear sister of Martha (Craig) Coffey. Predeceased by her brothers Phillip, Fred, Ralph and Gerry. Caring sister-in-law of Ray and Val Nolan and Patti Nolan and special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Madonna worked in various roles at St. Joseph’s, Civic and PRHC where she was a valued and respected employee.

Madonna will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and her ability to bring light into the lives of those around her. Her legacy of kindness and care will forever be cherished by her family and all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at the COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Tuesday August 27, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A private family service will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2024 followed by interment at Lakefield Cemetery.
