Maria Kalavrias Mousmoules

It is with great sorrow our family announces the passing of Maria, who has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her residence, with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late John Mousmoules. Dearly loved mother of Tina and her husband Nick Avlonitis. Daughter of the late Panayote and Eleni of Greece. Pre-deceased by her brothers Andrew, John and sister Tasia. Her loss will be felt deeply by her brother George and his wife Panayota. She will be sadly missed by her friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a founding member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Peterborough, and her dream came true when the church was built. Maria had a creative side to her. She was a talented seamstress and did other crafts. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross, a long-standing member of our church and our ladies Philoptochos Society, which means “Friends of the Poor”. She was also a member of the Daughters of Penelope, Order of the Ahepa Senior Auxiliary. Her gentle heart and love of family will always be remembered. Visitation will be held at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the HOLY TRINITY GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 406 Parkhill Road E, on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. Reverend Father Kyriakos Wegner officiating. Interment at Little Lake Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Sleeping Children Around the World, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
