Unexpectedly at PRHC Palliative Care, on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Harry VanBeek. Loving mother of Helen Lake (Philip), Joan Hogendoorn (Gary) and David VanBeek (Christina) and the late Brian VanBeek. Proud grandmother of Jason, Lee-anne (Steve), Philip (Holly), Kristen (Paul), Shannon (Warren), Dawson, Devon and Alexander; and great-grandmother of Hayden, Maddox, Haylee, Nixen, Briegan and Jake. Dear sister of Carl (Valerie), Neil (Sue), the late Ray (survived by Donna) and the late Verna. Predeceased by her parents Mansell and Mary Finney; and son in law Benny Hogendoorn. The family will receive friends at BETHANY UNITED CHURCH, 3 George Street, Bethany, on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the BETHANY UNITED CHURCH on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 12 noon, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment at Ballyduff Cemetery. In honour of Marie, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of choice would be appreciated by her family.
