So many great memories of our combined families. From playing in the hay mow to hauling hay bales.  Nora always smiling with her fresh baking and meals. She never forgot my birthday!  I will miss her sweet smile and lovely hugs.  Always in my heart, Theresa Scott-Thompson.

I remember Nora's great love for her children when they were students at St Joseph's in Douro. As Dan's teacher I remember the great pride she took in his growth and accomplishments. She was always willing to lend a hand and willingly shared her great faith in Our Lord. Her smile could brighten any day! 
My deepest condolences to Paul and her children on the loss of their loving Mother. My faith assures me she is with the Lord and will continue to care for you all. May she rest cradled in the arms of Our Lord.

We are so saddened to learn of Norah’s death and wish to convey heartfelt condolences to Paul and the Sweeney and Holland families. One marvels at the strength of loving families when faced with life challenges compounded. Norah and I are close agemates as first cousins. I remember her kindness when I was a new student at St Peter’s high school and facing losses in my family. Many years have elapsed since the cousins were 14, but old ladies treasure memories that live on. Goodbye dear Norah.

I am so sorry to learn this!!! Mr Sweeney, Joe, Maureen, Sheila and Dan my heart goes out to you suffering this incredible loss. Your wife and mom was one of the gentlest souls I have ever encountered and I know that lives on in all of you. I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Sweeney as one of my St. Joseph's  Elementary School Teachers. She was fun and left an imprint on my life. I have always had a special place in my heart for her. Dear Sweeney and Holland Families,

My deepest condolences on a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. 
I have many fond memories of being in the company of Nora and her family.
 When I first met Nora I phoned her up to help me with the 5oth Anniversary of St.Joseph's School in Douro on the photography committee. 
Then Nora was so gracious and kind to give me her guidance and help on my online ECE course. 
When you entered the Sweeney home ,you entered as a stranger but left as a life long friend.
 Nora's meals were legendary to anyone who had the pleasure of eating one of her meals. I told her once that she should open a restaurant  called " Sweeney's Restaurant."

My heart breaks along with the Sweeney and Holland families and may we always keep Nora's memories in our heart, in these trying and difficult days and months ahead.

Nora's  brother Jack and her precious granddaughter Zita,  has welcome  Nora into heaven, and we can take comfort that she is out of pain, and is  with our Lord.

While Mrs. Nora Sweeney's passing is an indelible loss to her immediate family, her passing is also an immeasurable loss for the entire faith community. I am sorry to learn that  Nora has been called from her loved ones left behind. I offer my condolences during this time of bereavement.
