Great Great Grandma of Sophia. Muriel was the former wife and good friend of Lewis Trull and his wife Margaret. Muriel was a special friend to Bev Vonsick, Debbie Vonsick, Cheryl Long, Bill Crompton and many others who she cherished over the years. Muriel had the ability to meet someone once and become friends for life. She knew the best friendships were those that were unexpected. Muriel's door was always open. She was always up for a visit from a friendly face. Muriel was a long time employee of A&P and Versa Food Services. Muriel's desire to lend a helping hand led her to be involved in many different organizations throughout the years including Hampton U.C.W. (President), Chemung Lioness Club (President), Red Hat Society, Alzheimer's Society Peterborough and the Canadian Cancer Society. Muriel also spent many years as a volunteer driver for Community Care where she was a friend and companion to those she helped. Muriel had an infectious and feisty spirit that brought smiles to everyone who knew her. Her sense of humour was the kind that left a lasting impression with anyone she encountered. She lived her life being very proud of her children and grandchildren and all of their accomplishments. Muriel was a unique soul who will be greatly missed by all. The world will seem a little lonlier knowing Muriel is no longer in it. At Muriel's request there will be no formal service. Robert & Anita would like to extend an invite to family & friends to join them at their home for a celebration gathering on Sat. Oct 7, 2017, 1p – 4p. They hope that you will be able to drop by. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Peterborough Retirement Residence and PRHC for the wonderful care given to Muriel. If desired, donations can be made in Muriel's name to Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs or Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
