It’s hard to believe that you’ve been gone a year, already.
Some of the happiest years of my life were those singing with my best friend, Phil. 
We’ll be together again, singing around the throne, buddy.  See you in the morning.

Today, as we said goodbye to my Dad, I am overwhelmed by the love and support you've shown us. To all who attended the service, your presence at the funeral meant the world to our family and provided us with strength during this difficult time. Your kindness and heartfelt condolences have been a source of comfort. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need.

Our heartfelt condolences to Judy and her dear family on the untimely passing of her dear husband Phil.

To Judy and the family, 
Phil and I became friends through SG music but it was our mutual faith in Jesus Christ that kept either one or the other dropping a quick note by facebook to say, "I'm praying for you." That's why I know for sure I can say, without a doubt, that his strength and solace was based on the Lord Jesus Christ, his rock and foundation. I will be praying for you all as you go through this time of grief.

Philip was a good friend for many years and we shared a love for Southern Gospel Music and baseball.  We had a special bond that I cherished. One of my fondest memories of Phil was the day, recently, when I went to visit Phil and Judy at their home and had the pleasure of playing Judy's mother Hazel Cunningham's piano. You will be missed, my dear brother but we will be reunited in heaven or, as the song we both loved calls heaven, Beulah Land

"I'm looking now, just across the river
To where my faith, shall end in sight 
There's just a few more days to labor.
Then I will take my heavenly flight.

And some day on thee I'll stand

Judith we are sorry for the loss of Phil. During our time in Peterborough at Calvary Church Phil and you were both dear friends to us both. Phil used to do Beth's  sound when she  sang in church and also did the sound for our wedding. at Calvary Church way back in 1992. We sure did enjoy your guys singing in church and his singing with the quartets and trios that he sang with. Stan and Beth Campbell.

A promotion picture for our first group:
“Phil and Tom.”  We sang together for many years as a duo, trio (with Ed Poulain) and several quartets. (One being with Ed Poulain and Merle Bales). Phil was the best baritone that I ever shared a stage with and I miss him terribly.   Every man needs an accountability partner to keep him on the right path.  Phil was mine.

Phil, my best friend ever and my singing partner for over 15 years.  We shared many pleasures including a love of gospel music.  I’ll forever remember our car trips, our long deep conversations, our time in the recording studio and the many, many meals that our two families shared.
