Bob passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, February 27, 2023.
Bob was in his 89th year. He is survived by his loving spouse of 60 years, D'Avril Jeanne Allen (nee Giroux). Dearest father of Paul Allen (Tracy) of Newcastle, ON, Greg Allen (Meghan Johnson) of Salt Spring Island, BC, Andrew Allen (Allison Barr) of West Vancouver, BC, Matthew Allen of Peterborough, ON and Julianna Allen of Peterborough, ON. Bob loved and cherished his five grandchildren Haley Allen, John Allen, Izabella Rae, Zoey Johnson and Kiel Johnson.
He is survived by his dear sister Betty Fowler (Glenn) and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Leo "Pop" Joseph Allen and Viva "Mom" Madeline Allen (nee Wyatt) and his sister Rose Marie Bullock (Elmer).
Bob lived life with compassion, respect and love. He was retired from Outboard Marine and lived a full life, always enjoying time with his family and friends. He enjoyed his sunny summer days on Lovesick Lake at the cottage. Later this summer an announcement will be made to provide details of a gathering for family and friends to join together to celebrate the life and times of Bob, Irish style.
