I'm so deeply sorry for the loss of Rob. He truly loved each and everyone of you dearly and he will be watching over and guiding you. Hold hour beautiful memories and each other close in the day ahead and I'm sending love and light your way.

As it's been said here many of time Rob was a big part of my journey. He was a true brother. He called me out when I needed it and also listened and shared his experiences. He was known as uncle wobbie to a few close ones :) and that's who he was to my fur baby and they just adored each other. 

Your shoes are too big to fill brother but many of us will continue to carry your torch of empathy, understanding, dignity, respect and  support. Until we meet again, give the gang a hug and keep the kettle warm.  Fly high brother and rest easy💜

Deepest sympathies to Lianne and family.  Rob was a terrific guy and an incredible nurse. Tim and I often use the expression he coined... "If you don't ask, you're already taking no for an answer!" He truly made a difference in so many lives and he will be missed....

My deepest sympathies to all of Rob’s loved ones and colleagues. I met Rob at work in passing and would always be greeted by him with kindness. He was so easy to speak to and was one of a kind … true goodness. I send so much strength to your loved ones as they learn how to move forward through this grief and loss.

Rob, our first friend in Peterborough.  Our lives continued to cross in different ways.  Our Family was deeply saddened to hear the news.  Rest peacefully knowing all of the good you have done in this world. The people you have treated, supported, and showed compassion to will continue to ripple through this world.  Fly high, my friend. Grampy, I can’t express my gratitude and how much of an impact you’ve had on my life. You taught me to be myself unapologetically, that it’s okay to step out of my comfort zone and live a little and that I have purpose. 

You showed up for me in ways that I could have never repayed you for. You brought me on travels around the world and gave me wise advice from your personal experiences on life. 

I will miss our motorcycle rides around the lake, your kindness to everyone you met, how much you loved each one of us and showed it, how you loved my siblings so fiercely and included us in every experience, our little inside jokes at nana, summer nights around the fire singing our favourite songs, but mostly your presence and love that filled every room you were in.  Thank you for being nana’s best friend and taking care of her until the very end. I take some happiness with me that you spent the last time on earth doing what you loved, travelling the world together. I wish I could tell you one more time how much I appreciate you and how much I love you for everything you are.

Rob was a one of a kind alpha, compassionate man. It is impossible to summarize how much his impact and friendship meant to me in this small space. 
Rob was very influential in my nursing career, and always was very supportive with advice and life experiences. Knowing Rob for about 12 years and becoming very close with him and his cherished dog  Motley, we shared a lot of great times arguing about hockey and music.  Rob a big Leafs fan and myself a Canadiens fan, we had many good natured battles. My most memorable times were at our trailers side by side, outside with a fire burning. Rob loved playing his favourite game Name that Tune. We would try and stump each other passing the tablet back and forth with the speakers blaring enjoying the sunsets and good conversation. His favourite band Lynyrd Skynyrd, I will miss you very much Rob, you were and still are a Free Bird.

Seems like you had an amazing time vacationing in Thailand and remember the goods times you had with him I know what you guys are going through i lost my dad last year in January and my brother in August in thunderbay I go to meeting at hospice for bereavement next one is March 25th at hospice peterborough my cell# is 249-353-8712 if ever want to talk take care

Rob was my unofficial mentor when I was a terrified new graduate registered nurse at the start of the pandemic. The ways he practiced nursing, handled conflicts, protected his colleagues and patients, and stood up to bullies will never leave me. Rob left a lasting positive impact on my career as a nurse and myself for the better. I will never forget the advice he provided me and already find myself passing it on to the next generation of nursing students. I had many fun shifts working with him and will never forget him or the knowledge he provided me. Rest easy Rob, you will be missed.

Dear Rob,

We met 18 years ago in treatment. Although we bumped heads a little, we became very close and good friends. Over the years, you were always there for me—guiding me with your words of encouragement and sometimes with words I didn’t want to hear. That’s what I loved most about you. You were the guy who always said it like it was, even if it meant speaking hard truths.

I watched you grow from rags to riches, become a world traveler, and you always encouraged me to dream big. Through our monthly (or so) phone calls over the past 18 years, you kept me in check. It has been an honor to know you and call you my friend.

We sailed, rode motorcycles, hit the Sea-Doos, and even did some fishing together—always having great conversations, sometimes debating wants vs. needs. You will always be in my heart and memories.

I will listen for your whispers, my brother, my friend. May you be at peace on your next journey of life. Until we meet again… Rubber side down.

Rob played a large role in helping with my nursing consolidation as a co-preceptor. We had an ongoing joke where we called him "Big dog" and would howl in the nursing station. He taught me so much about how to be a confident and good nurse and really showed how much he cared for other people. His laugh was infectious and you could see how much of an impact he had on many people's lives. He will be truly missed and his influence on others will continue to live on. My sincerest condolences and sending much love.
