July 6, 1965 – February 10, 2026
Surrounded by the love of her family, Sandra June Tendam completed her journey on February 10, 2026, at the age of 60.
Born on July 6, 1965, Sandy spent most of her life in Oshawa before later settling in Peterborough. She was someone who valued her independence and preferred to do things her own way, quietly building a life that reflected her interests and her determination.
She was practical, resourceful, and resilient; someone who kept going, kept learning, and kept creating, no matter what stage of life she was in.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, John Caskey and Cheryl Caskey, who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her parents, John and Audrey Tendam, and by her beloved dog, Pipsqueak, who rarely left her side.
Sandra worked as a web developer, a career that reflected both her intelligence and her ability to adapt and grow with a changing world. Outside of work, she was endlessly creative and resourceful. Over the years she poured her energy into quilting, canning, growing vegetables, and countless other projects, always eager to learn something new and try her hand at whatever sparked her interest. She found satisfaction in making, building, and nurturing, whether it was a website, a quilt, or a garden.
Those who knew Sandra will remember her for her independence, her perseverance, and the quiet ways she showed her love. Her legacy lives on in the lessons she passed down, the skills she shared, and the memories held close by those who loved her most.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no service.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
