It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother on February 1, 2023. Shirley was born on Christmas Day, 1934 in Warkworth, Ontario. She was the only daughter of Viola McVety and William Fox. Shirley and Bob (2012) were happily married for 58 years. Adored mother of Susan (Ambrose) Samulski, Nancy (Brian) Egan, Lisa (Russ) Tomlinson and Julie (Brad) Chafer. Cherished grandmother of Ryan, Brittany, Alysha, Jenna, Magdelena, Lucas, Braden, Ashton and Zenon. Proud great grandmother of Maddox, Jasper, Hudson, Hendrix, Avery, Lylah and Jackson.
Heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Regency of Lakefield and Taunton Mills – Claremont in Whitby for the tender loving care provided for mom as she struggled with Dementia.
Visitation will be held at Northminster United Church, 300 Sunset Boulevard, Peterborough on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada – Research Program would be appreciated by the family.
