Mrs. Shirley Joyce Leclair (Osborne)

LECLAIR, Mrs. Shirley Joyce - The sun rose of Shirley in Toronto on August 26, 1927 and the rain was falling on March 8, 2012 when she passed away at the North Shore Hospice, North Vancouver, B.C. She is being reunited with Frank (1927 – 1996) who was the love of her life for almost 50 years. They had a loving son Tim, who married Brenda and Shirley doted over her only grandson Tyler who was the twinkle in her eye. She resided in Peterborough from 1947 to 2010 and brought her smiling face and warm heart to her work at CGE, Outboard Marine, Peterborough School Board and Peterborough Clinic. As a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church , she was always helping with scouts, baseball and hockey games. Shirley will be deeply missed by her sister Doreen Dunford of Toronto and her nieces. She is predeceased by her mother, Mabel and her brother Fred. The family thanks especially Phil and Dianne Heard of Vancouver, Betty Rumble, Dave Tucker, Marg Miron, and Patty Montgomery all of Peterborough. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of North Shore Hospice and Dr. Peter Edmonds and Dr. Michael Davidson for all their help and support. Family and friends will be received at KAYE FUNERAL HOME “Memorial Chapel”, 539 George St. N., on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 11.00am to 1.00pm followed by Service in the Chapel at 1.00pm.
