W.D. Rex Jenkins

He went to be with our Lord on September 14, 2013 at Royal Gardens Retirement Home. Rex was 72 years of age. He was predeceased by his wife Delaine (nee Fenton) (1998). Rex is survived by his sister Roxanne and her husband the late Roy Murduff; also survived by siblings Dwight (Melody) Jenkins, Alanna (Francis) Gordon, Patricia (Daniel) Davis and Michael Jenkins. He was predeceased by his mother Norma Wells (nee Edwards) and his step-father Donald Wells and his father Rex Jenkins. His Canadian Forces career spanned 25 years in many countries abroad such as Cyprus, Egypt, Germany, finally retiring after working for the Federal Government in the handling of dangerous goods on aircrafts. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 7-9 pm; preceded by a Royal Canadian Legion Service at 6:45 pm and Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 10:00 am until the memorial service at 11:00 am in the chapel of COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, with Rev. Julie van Haaften officiating. In keeping with Rex’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to St. James United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
