William Douglas McInroy

Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in his 87th year. Retired 42-year C.G.E. employee, avid bowler and bird watcher. Loving father of sons Wayne (Ann), Darrell (Marilyn), Andy (Tracey) and daughter-in-law Ruth Downer. Predeceased by wife Jane Isabel, stepson Gerald Downer and granddaughter Janice Downer. Bill was adopted and lovingly raised by the late Nellie (McGee) and Andy McInroy of Stirling, Ontario. Son of the late William Earl Horton (Alberta McGee). Grandfather of Kerry Edwards (Rob), Tracy Avis (Jerome), Angela Castell, Steven Downer (Jolene), Alex McInroy (Morgan), Ben McInroy (Sarah) and step-grandaughter Isabel Hicks. Great grandfather of Kaleigh Castell, Raimey, Tye, Levon, Jake Avis and Taylor Downer. Friends are invited to call at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL’, 539 George Street North, on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m in the Chapel.
