Albert was born on August 3, 1939, in Caney, Oklahoma to E.A. and Janett G. Webb. After graduating from Muskogee High School in 1958, he joined the Air Force Reserve. He continued his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and eventually the University of Oklahoma. Albert worked as a computer salesman for most of his career. While traveling for Olivetti, he met the love of his life, Jean Meisburger, and they married on October 3, 1975.
Albert was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and season-ticket holder. On the way to a Sooners game in 1977, Jean went into labor; the twins, Jennifer and Ginger, were born later that day. In the years to follow, his joy was found in coaching and supporting his daughters through numerous activities including swimming and diving, soccer, softball, dance, and cheerleading. After years in Norman, OK and Moore, OK, he and the family relocated to Austin, TX in 1993.
He is preceded in death by his parents, E.A. and Janett G. Webb; his wife of 23 years, Jean Meisburger Webb; and siblings Priscilla, Eddie, and Terry Webb. He is survived by twin daughters, Ginger Robertson and Jennifer Unnasch, and loving sons-in-law, Michael Robertson and Aaron Unnasch; granddaughters, McKennah Robertson and fiance Canyon McDonald, Abby, Chloe, and Bella Robertson; grandsons, Caden, Rylan, and Boston Unnasch; brothers and sisters-in-law Truman Webb, Richard and Kathy Webb, and Danny and Denise Webb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.
The family would like to thank Carlos Hatfield for his many years of friendship and care for Albert. Special thanks also to the doctors and nurses at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and Compassus for their care during Albert’s last days.
In accordance with CDC COVID-19 guidance on gatherings, there will be a private, graveside burial service on Tuesday, March 17th at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced and scheduled for a later date when larger gatherings can be held in a safe manner.
