She was born in Salina, Kansas on December 30, 1965.
Amy graduated from Salina South High School. She then received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center.
She was married to Lewis Diaz on November 25, 1989.
Amy worked/had a career in Physical Therapy and Home Health for Elara, as well as, numerous other healthcare providers.
She was a member of Riverbend Church and had a passion for gardening, pets, being a volleyball team mom and serving others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. That same devotion carried over into spending countless hours coordinating as the Booster Club President of her daughter, Hannah’s volleyball team. Amy shared herself with the world every day of every minute. She had a loving spirit and always put other people ahead of herself. To know her was to love her.
Amy is survived by her husband, Lewis Diaz; her children, Amanda Diaz, Grant Diaz, Lance Diaz and Hannah Diaz; her granddaughter, Sydney Schlough; her sister Jennifer Moseley; and her mother, Judy Vanover.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Lamar Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas 78752. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., also at Cook-Walden Lamar Funeral Home. The Committal service will immediately follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35 Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
