Anita Noriega

Anita Noriega, age 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 to be with our Lord and savior. She was born in San Benito, TX on Nov. 17, 1934. Anita was a long-time resident of Brownsville. She moved to Austin to be closer to her loving family. She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed attending services. She never lost contact with her lifelong friends from Brownsville, Estella and Celia. Mom enjoyed reading, watching TV, and making new friends. She had a smile that would light up a room. She will be greatly missed.

Anita is survived by her two sons, Julio Noriega of Austin, Ernesto Noriega and wife Hilda of Hutto, TX; her sister, Gloria Rocha and husband Jesse; brothers, Betin Rodriguez of Germany and Michael Rodriguez of Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Andrea Noriega of Hutto, TX, and Analise Noriega of Round Rock, TX; and grandchild, Bailey Robinson.

The family would like to express a special “thank you” to the nursing staff and caregivers of Windsor-Duval Nursing Home of Austin, TX.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 followed by a funeral liturgy service at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Burial will follow in Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
