I have so many lovely memories of Mrs. Wachholz when you lived here in Brenham and we were in high school.  I think of you all often, especially Heidi and Petyr.  I pray that God grants you the comfort that only He can give.  Please know that you are all in our memories from here in Brenham and Grace Lutheran Church.  Lynette and David Dahmann

We were so sorry to hear about Ann passing.  We have such wonderful memories of her welcoming both of us to the Brenham Community, introducing us to the German Club, celebrating with us during our wedding and going out to eat in Austin.  We feel very blessed to have had her friendship and guidance in our lives.

Dear Ed and family, we also share in your earthly sorrow of Ann's passing to her Eternal Home with Jesus.

I also (as this is before Nancy) want to express my thanks for your support and guideance with the Walther League at Hope Lutheran as we all grew in Christ together, you were a very positive influence on many lives.

I would like to share a short story with you that occured in the mid 70's after Stan Cravatt and I had both been living in Houston for a short while.  On a weekend trip together returning to Austin, we decided to stop in Brenham at a tavern for a meal, short break and play a few games of pool.  We began a discussion with a some individuals on an adjoining table, they were from Brenham and knowing you were in Brenham, mentioned your names.  One of the young man's girlfriend was at that time working with the two of you, she was a special needs person, and his eye lit up and he expressed his love for both of you and what you were doing for her.  Another great testimony of the positive influence you have demonstrated throughout your lives.

I am thankful that you shared with me.

Dearest Ed and family, we rejoice with you in Ann's Victory in going home to our Lord Jesus Christ, and we share your sorrow in losing your loving wife and mother.

We have memories from the 1960's when you and Ann were our Young Adult sponsors at Hope Lutheran, we had so much fun and we thank you for your part in our "growing up."  We also remember visiting you in North Zulch when you were serving there as pastor, and are grateful for the visits you made to see Judy's grandmother, Pauline Reglein, in Bedias.

You have blessed us in many ways, including attending our 45th anniversary 3 years ago.  May our Heavenly Father wrap His loving arms around you all and give you His peace that passes our understanding.

I was my Aunt Ann's & Uncle Eddies' flower girl at their wedding.  I wanted to be beautiful for the wedding so at 4 years old, just before the big day,  I cut my own hair which was long and to be worn in long rag curls for the wedding.  What a tizzy I created.  My Mom took me to the beauty shop where my cut was straightened out.  My hair still looked OK I guess for the wedding.  I remember dancing with the ring bearer at the wedding.  We lived in Milwukee but Aunt Ann & Uncle Eddie always lived so far away so I only saw them occasionally, they were always special people.  I visited them in Brenham and I remember how involved Aunt Ann was with her resale shop.  She raised lots of money there to assist in their efforts to help others come to America. She will always have a special  spot in my heart, and I am so sorry that I will not be able to make the funeral.
