ወ/ሮ አሰገደች ከአባታቸው ከመቶ አለቃ ጎንፋ በዳሳና ከእናታቸው ከወ/ሮ እታገኘሁ አብሲሶ በ1937 ዓ ም በሽዋ ከፍለ ሃገር በአምቦ ክተማ ተወለደው የሕጻንነት ጊዚያቸውን ታላቅ እህታቻው ቤት በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ልዩ ስሙ ገዳም ስፋር አደጉ እድሜያችው ለትዳር ሲደርስ ከአቶ ብርቅነህ ወልደስላሴ ጋር ትዳር መስረተው አራት ወንዶች እና አንደ ሴት አፈርተዋል እንዲሁም ሰባት የልጅ ልጆች አይተዋል ከጊዜ በሁዋላ ባደረባችው ህመም በአሜሪካን አገር በቴክሳስ በህክምና ሲረዱ ቆይተው ቅዳሜ ታህሳስ 18 ቀን 2018 ከዚህ አለም በሞት ተለይተዋል ፡፡

ወይዘሮ አሰገደች በህይወት በነበሩበት ጊዜ የተራቡ በማብላት እና በማጠጣት የማይታክቱ ሃይማኖታችውን አክባሪ ቤተሰብ እና ወዳጅን ሰብሳቢ ነበሩ እጅግ የምግብ ባለሙያ እና በሃዘንም ሆነ በደስታ ለወዳጅና ለዘመድ ደራሽ ነበሩ የእግዚአብሄር ፈቃድና ምርጫ ሆኖ ወደ አምላካችው ሄደዋል፡፡

እናታቸን በቴክሳስ በኖረችበት ጊዜ ቤት በመምጣት በህክምና ማእከል በመገኘት እንደ እናት እንደ ወዳጅ በመጠየቅ በማክበር በእውነተኛ ፍቅር ስትጠይቅዋት ለነበራችሁ ወዳጆቻችን ሁሉ የከበረ ምስጋናችንን እያቀረብን ከኛ ጋር ላዘናችሁ ሁሉ መጽናናት እንመኛለን

Mrs. Asegedech, daughter of her father Major Gonfa Bedasa and her mother W/ro Ejegayehu Absiso, was born in 1937 E.C. in the town of Ambo, Shewa Province. She spent her childhood in Addis Ababa, in a place called Gedam Safar, where she was lovingly raised by her older sister.

When she reached the age for marriage, she married Ato Birkenh Weldeselassie. Their marriage was blessed with four sons and one daughter, and later they also had seven grandchildren.

After some time, she traveled to the United States, while she was in Texas she became ill and was hospitalized for treatment and stayed in Texas. On Saturday, December 18, 2018, she passed away and departed from this world.

During her lifetime, W/ro Asegedech was known for her kindness and hospitality. She was generous in feeding and caring for others, respectful of her faith, devoted to her family, and friendly to all. She was also highly skilled in cooking and was known to share in both the joys and the sorrows of her loved ones. In accordance with God’s will and choice, she has returned to her Creator.

While she was living in Texas, many friends and loved ones visited her at home and in the hospital, showing her love, respect, and true affection. To all of you dear friends who supported us and shared in our grief, we express our heartfelt gratitude and wish you comfort and peace.

A funeral service will be held on December 31, 2025, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at Lideta Le-Mariam Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, located at 16403 Mill Creek Rd, Pflugerville, TX, 78660, United States.

Following the funeral service, a committal service will take place on the same day from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, located at 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX, 78660, United States.
