Barbara C. Lovelady

Barbara Lovelady, age 76, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010. She was born on March 11, 1934 in Lake Arthur, New Mexico. She attended high school in Portales, New Mexico and also took some college courses there. Barbara met Al, her beloved husband while visiting a mutual military family at Sheppard AFB, TX. They married the following year in 1957.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Al Lovelady, four children; Douglas, Michael, Cheri, and Joseph, four grandchildren: Tiffany, Amber, Candice, and Logan, three great grandchildren; Alexis, Xavier, and Sequoia.

Barbara was a very dedicated military wife, where her happiest overseas assignment was in the Philippines where she worked with Baptist missionaries for two years, she loved to quilt, read and study the Bible, doing one or the other at all times.

Visitation will begin on Monday, October 4, 2010 from six o’clock pm to 8 o’clock pm and a service celebrating her life will begin at 10:00 o’clock am on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 with interment immediately following the service. All services will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
