Bernice Hollifield

Bernice Hollifield, age 87, passed away at home on August 30, 2018 with her husband and children by her side. She was a lifetime resident of Austin, Texas and a member of the University Avenue Church of Christ.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, A. J. and Viola Williamson and two sisters, Louise Pruett and Lorraine Greinert. Survivors include her husband, A. C. (Neil) Hollifield; sisters, Leora Richardson, Ann Strong and Odell Boling; children, Patricia McNair and husband Joe of Niederwald, Donald Hollifield of Austin, Catherine Consford and husband Randy of New Braunfels, and Allan Hollifield and wife Brenda of Austin. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A homemaker while her children were in school, Bernice then worked at her church. She loved her family and spending time working in her yard.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 3, 2018 from 6 until 9 pm in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10 am at Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home. Bernice will be laid to rest near her parents at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Nathan McNair, Jeff Consford, Steven Hollifield, Matthew Hollifield, Adam Hollifield and Aaron Craft.
