She was born in Long Beach, California on May 30. 1927, to George Miller and Fern Emmert. She graduated from Poly Tech Junior College in California.
At age 12, she performed for the USO riding a unicycle during the war and to raise money for her family.
Beverley worked in a secretarial capacity at McDonald Douglas in California. She met George Perry during that time at a Methodist church function. They were married on November 6, 1951, and Beverley gave birth to identical twins, Diane and Alison, on September 5, 1952.
Beverley and George were actively involved in church, received their private pilot licenses together, and were avid golfers. They also camped with their family and as a couple throughout their lifetime. Beverley loved birds, planting flowers and gardening, especially yellow roses and gardenias.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughters, Diane Hutto and her husband, Tim; Alison Greene and her husband, Don; her grandchildren, Meredith Madrigal, Adriel Ofczarzak, Shawna Pounds, Jackie Cooper and Chris Hutto and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by George Perry, her loving husband of 72 years, her parents, siblings and grandson, James Greene.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff in memory care at the Wesleyan in Georgetown. We especially acknowledge the compassion and care of Lucita and Christina as well as Aspen Hospice for their constant and loving care for our mother until her passing.
