Carolyn Maxine Van Noy

She was born on September 1st, 1943 in Camden, Arkansas to parents Julius Dykes and Evelyn Dykes-Craven. Carolyn grew up in Louisiana and Corpus Christi with her sister Bonnie Dykes-Jahn and brothers Gary and Michael Dykes.

Carolyn was a loving wife to her husband David Giles Van Noy and a very devoted mom to her five children. She dedicated much of her time to caring for and raising her children. She also spent time as a part time educator in Leander.

Carolyn had a very giving and gracious heart and always enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and always looked forward to the annual Campbell-Dykes family reunions.

Carolyn is survived by her five children—Sharmayne Smith—Laura Schnucker and her husband David---David Van Noy and his wife Tanya---Collette Smith and her husband Aaron—Celeste Greenman and her husband Tony.

She is also survived by the PRIDE OF HER LIFE…18 grandchildren….2 bonus grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Our mom and grandma was passionately loved and she will be genuinely missed.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A committal service will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
